Volunteer Engagement
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." Pablo Picasso
“I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa as a mentor in two Bridge for Billions incubation programs, where I served as her Program Manager. Vanessa is deeply engaged and fully committed to bringing out the best in the entrepreneurs she supports. She doesn’t just advise from the sidelines—she truly walks the journey alongside them.
Her ability to ask the right questions, offer thoughtful outside perspective, and foster meaningful reflection makes her an exceptional mentor. Beyond her strategic insight, she provides genuine emotional support and encouragement, creating a safe space for founders to grow with confidence. Vanessa also contributed generously to our group networking sessions with fellow mentors, enriching the experience for the entire community.”

Bridge for Billions
Bridge for Billions was founded in 2015 with the purpose of supporting local entrepreneurs in different regions across the world, for economies to grow in a more sustainable and inclusive way.
“As one of MentHER’s long-standing mentors, Vanessa has given students more than the average mentor- she models what it means to blend social insights, nonprofit commitment, public sector experience, and entrepreneurial expertise to our careers.
It’s the intersection of her experience and skills that opens business students up to unique perspectives. Her mentorship expands students’ view of leadership and problem solving. Vanessa shows them that understanding business, people, communities, and innovation prepare them to make the biggest impacts. This type of mentorship allows students to tap into who they are as people and how they will lead.”
